We are delighted to unveil its 2023 NEW WAVE: Creatives, a list of the 50 most innovative and inspiring young creative talents who play a critical role within the industry globally.  The dynamic list includes trailblazers from across multiple disciplines including digital artists, casting agents, photographers, art directors, hair and makeup artists, image makers, nail artists, set designers and stylists. The final 50 will be celebrated as part of The Fashion Awards (TFA) 2023 presented by Pandora on Monday 4th December at the Royal Albert Hall, London.

TFA, organised by the BFC, is a global entertainment platform, celebrating fashion's role at the intersection of culture and entertainment, spotlighting creative talent and telling the stories of the year in fashion through the lens of purpose, excellence and creativity. The event also serves as the primary fundraiser for the BFC Foundation.

Caroline Rush, BFC Chief Executive, commented: “NEW WAVE: Creatives provide the industry with an important opportunity to recognise and celebrate the diverse talent who play a crucial role, often behind the scenes, across the fashion industry. This year’s cohort is an incredible group of emerging artists whose innovative skills represent the future of creativity within fashion. I look forward to celebrating their impact on the industry this December and am excited to watch their careers grow over the coming years.”

The final list is a resource for the global fashion industry which can support and inform the curation of teams for creative projects, accessible on the BFC website here. It highlights London’s position as an international hub of creativity and pays homage to the incredible success of both home-grown and international talent. As the purpose-built portal, the NEW WAVE: Creatives 2023 will benefit from year-round social media support across the BFC’s channels as well.
